Er zijn echter betere opties beschikbaar zoals Sacred Foundry, die dezelfde kleuren biedt zonder dat er op wordt getikt. In de meeste gevallen zou Sacred Foundry een efficiëntere keuze zijn dan Boros Guildgate, tenzij specifieke synergieën of budgetbeperkingen de Guildgate een haalbare optie maken.
