Verslindend licht, Direct, designed by Pete Venters first released in Oct, 2005 in the set Ravnica: City of Guilds and was printed exactly in 9 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Een deck dat zich richt op het beheersen van het slagveld en het verstoren van de gevechtsstrategie van de tegenstander zou baat hebben bij het opnemen van Devouring Light. Het vermogen om een aanvallend of blokkerend wezen te verbannen kan een krachtig verwijderingsinstrument zijn, vooral in combinatie met het convoke-mechanisme om het mogelijk voor minder mana te casten. Hoewel er mogelijk andere verwijderingsspreuken zijn met verschillende voordelen, zoals onmiddellijke snelheid of extra effecten, zou Devouring Light nog steeds spel kunnen zien in decks die op zoek zijn naar efficiënte verwijdering van wezens in een op wit gebaseerde strategie.

If a creature you control has a mana ability with in the cost, activating that ability while casting a spell with convoke will result in the creature being tapped before you pay the spell’s costs. You won’t be able to tap it again for convoke. Similarly, if you sacrifice a creature to activate a mana ability while casting a spell with convoke, that creature won’t be on the battlefield when you pay the spell’s costs, so you won’t be able to tap it for convoke.

You can tap any untapped creature you control to convoke a spell, even one you haven’t controlled continuously since the beginning of your most recent turn.
