De uitsluitingskaart zou nuttig zijn in een controlestapel die tot doel heeft de wezens van de tegenstander te verstoren en tegelijkertijd het kaartvoordeel te behouden. Hoewel Uitsluiten een solide optie is om spreuken van wezens tegen te gaan en een kaart te trekken, zijn er efficiëntere opties beschikbaar, zoals Mana Leak of Force of Will, die extra flexibiliteit of lagere kosten bieden. Exclude zou echter nog steeds kunnen spelen in bepaalde metagames of budgetdecks waar de vaardigheden waardevol zijn.
