Shattered Perception kan nuttig zijn in een rood agressief of burn-deck dat tot doel heeft snel door de kaarten te bladeren om belangrijke stukken te vinden. Er zijn echter betere opties beschikbaar, zoals Faithless Looting of Cathartic Reunion, die kaartselectie en synergie op het kerkhof bieden. Shattered Perception wordt mogelijk niet veel gespeeld in competitieve decks vanwege de hoge kosten en het beperkte nut in vergelijking met andere opties.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.
