Deze kaart, Stormbind, zou nuttig zijn in een rood-groen agressief kaartspel dat druk wil uitoefenen en directe schade wil aanrichten aan de tegenstander of belangrijke wezens. Er zijn echter betere opties beschikbaar, zoals Lightning Bolt of Chain Lightning, die een efficiëntere en betrouwbaardere schade-uitvoer bieden. Stormbind ziet misschien niet veel speelruimte in competitieve Magic: the Gathering-decks vanwege de willekeur en hogere kosten in vergelijking met andere, krachtigere burn-spreuken.
