Wind and Ghosts is het beste in een controle- of tempodeck dat flexibele interactie wil, vooral een strategie in blauwe/incidentstijl die vroege bedreigingen goedkoop kan beantwoorden en middelgrote eenheden op belangrijke momenten kan bestraffen; de belangrijkste sterke punten zijn dat het kleine eenheden rechtstreeks kan verwijderen en nog steeds grotere kan beantwoorden door ze te laten stuiteren, wat handig is tegen agressieve decks en voor het verstoren van gevechten of belangrijke slagveldopstellingen. Dat gezegd hebbende, is het met 3 kosten vrij duur voor een voorwaardelijke verwijderingsspreuk, en wordt deze meestal overtroffen door kaarten die ofwel betrouwbaarder worden verwijderd, minder kosten of efficiënter tempo genereren.
