About Wallop
Wallop, Spell, designed by Kudos Productions first released in Mar, 2026 in the set Origins.
Wallop fits best in aggressive or tempo-focused decks that reliably generate expendable buffs—such as decks built around cheap combat tricks, temporary stat boosts, or on-attack triggers—because converting a surplus buff into a free Ready effect lets you reuse a key attacker or activated ability in the same turn, creating strong swing turns and surprise pressure in showdowns. It’s especially potent in lists that can produce low-cost or repeatable buffs, turning what would be marginal value into action advantage. However, if your deck can’t consistently produce spare buffs, the 2-cost rate is merely fair and may be outclassed by more consistent ready effects or straightforward tempo spells that don’t require setup (for example, any 1-cost Ready spell or a unit with built-in self-ready). If your archetype already runs efficient, unconditional Ready effects, those are generally better for reliability; but in buff-dense synergy decks, Wallop is highly playable and can be a strong role-play
