Void Gate fits best in a spell-heavy, ping, or control-combo deck that repeatedly deals small instances of damage—such as decks built around multi-hit spells, damage-over-time effects, or cheap burn that can trigger multiple times—because the +1 bonus applies to each instance, dramatically increasing efficiency on split damage or repeat triggers; it’s especially strong in archetypes that lock combat into one lane or cluster enemy units in a single battlefield zone to maximize value. However, it’s weak in decks focused on raw stats, single large hits, or minimal spell usage, since it does nothing on its own and requires follow-up damage to matter.
