Taric – Protector fits best in a midrange or defensive “fortress” style deck that wants to establish a strong board presence and win through durable units rather than burst damage; his built-in [Shield] that scales while defending, combined with [Tank] forcing damage onto him first and granting [Shield] to other friendly units at his location, makes him ideal for board-centric strategies that stack multiple units in one lane and dare the opponent to trade inefficiently. He’s especially strong in decks that benefit from prolonged combat, on-defend triggers, healing, or buffs that increase his survivability, since protecting Taric amplifies the value of your entire formation. He may be less effective in aggressive or combo-focused decks that spread units across multiple locations or prioritize speed over durability.
