Apprentice Smith

About Apprentice Smith

Apprentice Smith, Unit, designed by Kudos Productions first released in August 2026 in the set Spiritforged. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of NZ$ 0.19.

Apprentice Smith fits best in a **Gear‑centric, movement‑focused deck** that can reliably trigger its “when I move” ability multiple times per turn, since its value scales with repeated movement and a high density of Gear cards to convert the reveal into consistent draw; in such builds it functions as light card advantage and deck filtering, especially if you can control or manipulate the top of your Main Deck. However, in optimized lists it may be outclassed by cards that either tutor Gears directly (guaranteed search is stronger than conditional reveal) or provide unconditional draw without needing movement setup, making those options more consistent and tempo‑efficient. As a result, Apprentice Smith should see play primarily in budget builds, synergy‑heavy Gear lists, or combo decks that already reward movement triggers, but it is likely cut from highly competitive versions in favor of more reliable search or draw engines.
