IntroductionToday, we'll discuss one of the most fun Vendetta archetypes, Vex Spiders. This list lets you break Riftbound's deckbuilding rules because it plays Spiderling. It can also be a great option for those who have just started playing Riftbound.Despite what many believed, Spiderling doesn't really go with Teemo all that well. As it turns out, Teemo Spiders lists run out of gas and cards really quickly.Vex, however, doesn't have this problem. She just draws cards constantly and keeps your hand full of Spiders so that you can fill the board with them.Let's see how this list works.Vex Spiders - The Easiest Deck to Pilot in the GameDeck CodeThe main idea behind this list is to always go second. You should play a Spiderling on your first turn, then conquer a battlefield with it, and play as many spiders as you can on that battlefield every turn.If you manage to defend this battlefield, eventually your spiders will become so big that your opponent won't be able to deal with your board. They'll be forced to hold the other battlefield. When you're ready, play Emperor's Divide to bring all your spiders to your base and set up a massive attack on the other battlefield, the one your opponent is controlling. Like so, you'll finally score as many points as them or even more, tying or winning the match outright. This deck can't win without Emperor's Divide, so, in every match, you'll have to draw this card and use it wisely.Still, it is one of the easiest Riftbound lists to pilot. It is also often a great option for those who have never played this TCG but want to start now that Vendetta is here.Important NotesThis deck has multiple weaknesses. One of them is that this game plan is too simple and predictable, so your opponent can deal with it if they know how it works beforehand. So, if you're facing a green list or other Holding lists, try to use your Defy's on the opponent's Defy's so that you can play Emperor's Divide. Otherwise, you'll lose the game on the spot.Nineteen Spiderlings is a magical number for this archetype. If you play this many Spiderlings in this list, you'll always get one in your opening hand and draw even more throughout the game. And you'll still have space to play and draw your counterspells and combat tricks. If you play more spiders, you might not draw the other spells you need, and, if you play more spells, you might not draw enough spiders.Meditation is pretty important as well. It will keep your hand full throughout the match.Save your resources so that you can use Star Crossed on your opponent's key units and play Vex Apathetic early on if you're facing an aggressive list to prevent the opponent from fighting for your battlefield.Battlefield StrategyUnlike other decks, this list is better when you go second, so it doesn't really matter which battlefield you play when you're going second or when you're going first. Nonetheless, I highly suggest you use Bandle Tree on blind so that you can get 100% out of your strategy in game 1, before your opponent can get cards from their sideboard. The Papertree - This battlefield fits this strategy really well because if the opponent conquers it before you, you'll still get something out of its effect. The same applies to Trifarian Warcamp. Even if your opponent conquers this battlefield, later on you'll set up a massive attack with multiple spiders, and they'll benefit from its effect anyway when they attack.SideboardUse Charm against Holding decks to pull the opponent's Ahri or any of their key cards, like LeBlanc's Karthus, or any of their Empowered cards.Allay, Eager Admirer is interesting against Spellslinger strategies, like Mel, Kai'Sa, and Ezreal. This means decks that focus solely on targeting enemy units with spells.Disarming Rake is great against Gear lists overall.Abandon and Hard Bargain are interesting against decks that center around playing 1 spell that costs more than 4 energy, like aggro Lillia and Ornn, which play Sprite Burst. It's also great against blue lists that play Singularity, Azir lists (so that you can stop Arise!), and other key cards, like Ruination and Time Warp.Final WordsWhat do you think?
