Viktor – Herald of the Arcane is best suited for swarm, tempo, or sacrifice-based decks that capitalize on cheap unit generation, especially builds that benefit from triggering “on recruit,” “on summon,” or sacrifice effects, since converting 1 Energy and an exhaust into a 1 Might Recruit token provides incremental board presence at very low upfront cost. He’s particularly strong in go-wide strategies, combo shells that need bodies for synergies, or control decks that want repeatable chump blockers without spending cards from hand. However, if the format includes more efficient token engines that generate multiple units per activation, scale with stats, or don’t require exhausting (such as persistent support pieces or higher-yield generators), those would generally be stronger in dedicated swarm decks because they offer better rate and tempo.
